Since I've lately posted a lot of food pictures, I figured I might as well write a blog post about it.
I'm on of those non believers in labels. Never call me a vegan, vegetarian, meat eater, yogi, aerialist, swimmer, or whatever other labels might pop into mind. At least not by itself. Because it's true- I'm all of those, just not one of them. And never will I.
I've never understood the point with restrictions. I would never want to restrict myself to one way of eating, one way of training or one way of living. We only live once which means we only have this to time have fun, to explore, to venture out and find what feeds our souls.
How are we supposed to know what our bodies cave, what makes our souls yearn, if we limit our experiences?
I'm not saying sticking to a certain lifestyle or diet is wrong. I believe those who have decided to commit have made that decision from their experiences. They have found what feeds their soul, and that's amazing. But my body, my soul is still craving. It still wants to explore all the different corners and hidden cracks of what we call life. I am still finding new foods, new hobbies, new ways of moving my body.
As I've mentioned earlier, I'm basically a very healthy gal. Probably healthier than your own definition of healthy. I eat loads of fruit, veggies, nuts and do natural remedies whenever I can, and I'm a sucker for farmers market, or just farms in general.
I've always wanted to explore the vegan and vegetarian cuisine more, but honestly, all of those weird ingredients and 50 ingredient recipes kind of threw me on a loop. SO I'm starting slow. I just started a little hashtag to document my food adventures, #MyVegAdventures (feel free to use it), and I'm hoping to maybe next month add some more of my own recipes and food to the mix. Maybe spend some more time in the kitchen. Explore you know.
