DIY Hair Mask For Dry Hair- using only four ingredients!

Did the sun dry up your hair or just looking to prep yourself for the winter?

For whatever the reason, you're going to want to try this one out!

Makes: 1 treatment
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Treatment Time: 10 minutes


3 tablespoons coconut oil
3 tablespoons raw honey
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
5 drops lavender essential oil


The coconut oil work as a mask that seals in hair moisture using fatty acids to nourish that scalp and hair. The lavender has nutrients that go deep into the follicles while removing buildup and has studies that shown it can help with new hair growth, is calming and smells really good!

  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, stir together the coconut oil and honey for 1 to 2 minutes, or just until melted. I like to place the ingredients in a heat safe bowl, fill the pan with water and place the bowl in the middle to melt, but that's just me. When finished, remove from heat.
  2. Stir in the cider vinegar and lavender essential oil. Work quickly since the ingredients will begin to separate as they start to cool down. 
  3. Work the hair in as you would when you apply shampoo. 
  4. Let sit for 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
